JA Fun Day is an annual spring event where our chapter plans a day of fun and activities for the students in Garland County public schools' special education classes. It is a fun filled day where more than 150 students get to ride horses, go fishing, have their faces painted, ride in a John Deer tractor pulled train, and swing on zip lines and in carrousel swings. This year’s theme was a pow wow, and to help us celebrate and learn about our Native American ancestors, the Manataka American Indian Council joined us. They provided singers and dancers as well as story from Grandfather Bear. To help us make the day even more special we received donations from Kroger, Wal-Mart, Coco Beverage, the Haute Chocolatier and of course hamburger lunches from Outback Steakhouse. It is an amazing day for some amazing students!
